Longest Drivers on PGA Tour for 2012

So, who were the longest drivers on the PGA tour for 2012?  The leader is who you think it would be.  Mr. Bubba Watson.  But who was close on Mr. Watson's heels?

First off, Bubba banged the ball an average of 315.55 yards in 68 rounds to lead the PGA in 2012.  The slim lefty hit his longest ball off the tee a whopping 442 yards.  He did it at this years World Golf Championships.  Believe or not that was not the longest drive on tour.  That honor went to Gary Woodland who knocked one 450.

In second place for average driving distance on tour this year was Charlie Beljan, who averaged 311.51 yards through 47 rounds.  In 2012, Beljan used the Cleveland Classic Driver

Coming in third in the average drive distance rankings on the 2012 PGA Tour was Robert Garrigus with a 310.32 mark in 81 rounds of golf. Here you'll see a nice slow mo video of Garrigus' drive swing. Notice his lower body motion.

And in 4th is Dustin Johnson who averaged 310.21 yards off the tee in 70 rounds.  Johnson's driver, according to his official website is a TaylorMade R11S.
